DPL conducts Diwali greeting card making workshop for children


On 14th October, 2017, the Delhi Public Library conducted a workshop on Diwali greeting cards making at its Sarojini Nagar Zonal Library. The children were trained to make Diwali greeting cards with waste invitation cards and used papers. We have to protect our environment and save the trees, which are the source of paper so we have to use waste paper to save our environment, the children were agreed with the statement and they promised us that to save our environment and health, we will use waste papers and celebrate Diwali crackers free. The children have enjoyed the workshop and prepared beautiful greeting cards. It was also the day of storytelling, the library staff told them stories on Lord Vishnu, the goddess Lakshmi, Raja Bali, Ganesha and Lord Rama and the importance of the festival of lights. They enjoyed the session very much, sweets and snacks distributed to the children at the end of the ses​​sion.
