IPLM pitches for CSR investment in public libraries

On 29th November, 2017, Dr Shubhangi Sharma, Executive Director, IPLM spoke about the importance of CSR investment in public libraries during the NASSCOM Foundation's CSR Leadership Conference held at Bengaluru. Dr Sharma was one of the panelists in 'Power of Collectives: Collaboration for Impact' session. She also emphasized the need for making public libraries as knowledge institutes and help India in becoming a knowledge economy. She also shared the collective approach IPLM is following by collaborating with State Governments, bringing a bouquet of new services by working with various partners in order to attract more users for the public libraries. Other panellists of the panel were Ms. Ruchi Mathur, CEO, Pune City Connect; Mr. Amitav Virmani, CEO, The Education Alliance; Mr. Amit Bhatt, Strategy Head - Integrated Urban Transport, WRI India Sustainable Cities and Mr. Shrikant Sinha, CEO, NASSCOM Foundation moderated the session.
