Jai Christ Library comes to the rescue of Cyclone Ockhi victims

The Adimalathura was one of the hardest hit areas during the Cyclone Ockhi. The village is primarily consists of fishing community and more than 50 fishermen are not traceable from Adimalathura after the Cyclone Ockhi hit the southern States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Union Territory of Lakshadweep on 29 - 30 November, 2017. One of IPLM's partners (P N Panicker Foundation) intervention libraries, Jai Christ Library, Adimalathura played a critical role in mobilizing relief materials from among the local businesses and distributed emergency food, water, and supplies to the affected families. The library is also coordinating with the Government of Kerala for tracing the fishermen and providing financial relief to the community.
